In recent months, several developments have been made to enhance accounts receivable management in GreenCommerce. Since the Cherry release, periodic updates have been implemented in subsequent versions. With the next release being a mandatory version, this article summarizes the key features of the new accounts receivable management system.

Within GreenCommerce, there was no possibility for voice-controlled commands, until now! Developer Remco van der Voort has explored the possibilities of voice within our WMS App for his thesis.

Within GreenCommerce and its related applications, periodic updates are conducted to ensure the stability of the product. These updates often consist of seemingly minor changes but contribute to efficiency in the background. What does this mean for you as a user? In this update, (front-end) developers Dennis and Toni will explain the developments they have made.

With the Date release, new enhancements have been added to the functionalities of the purchase invoicing process. This enables a simple way of order matching. To indicate which purchase invoices and suppliers are suitable for automatic matching, it has become possible to manage this per supplier.

A new link between clients and transporters who can collaborate with each other via real-time information. With Transportal 2.0, the current connection is refined through an integration with FreshBabel, making it easy to exchange messages with each other. In this update, developers Joost and Dave explain what users can expect.

While we started with the topic of Task-driven management by the end of last year, it will also kick off the first quarter of 2024. In a pilot, employees test whether they can be managed more specifically via work orders instead of pick lists. Developers Karsten and Christian have started working on this topic and explain the current situation in this update.

In the new Primeur, project coordinator Berry van Zijp was interviewed about the implementation at Growers United Zwaagdijk (PapriCo). Implementations of this impact requires extremely close collaboration with all parties involved. The maximum effort from all parties has ensured the great success of this collaboration.

With the new link to GreenCommerce, affiliated growers of Oxin Growers can easily exchange data with QPI about agreements regarding the logistics process. By connecting all growers in the same way, a uniform working method is created that ensures greater efficiency for both the growers and QPI.

After a number of successful projects and a durable collaboration with Growers United, the PapriCo location in Zwaagdijk also agreed at the beginning of this year to start with GreenCommerce. After a number of months of preparations, new developments and connections with machine manufacturers Viscon and Aweta, the software went live within the pre-agreed schedule.

A complex issue in the fresh produce industry is finding the optimal structure of mixed pallets, taking into account the properties of the goods that are stacked on the pallet. To further shape this issue, a project group from TU Delft started research at the beginning of this year.

At GreenCommerce, we think it is important that functionalities not only improve speed, but also increase efficiency. Developer Jim Dijkxhoorn also agrees with this thought. For the Banana release, Jim has made an improvement to the Excel import functionality, reducing the number of actions for users to a minimum. In this update, he explains what users can expect.

Last year we began converting several GreenXchange screens to updated versions. Recently a number of screens have been converted again, allowing growers to work better with the platform. In recent weeks, developers Toni van Bergenhenegouwen, Robin van den Broek and Joost de Wilde have been busy converting the latest screens within GreenXchange.

Since January 2023, Fresh Produce Centre has taken over the export statistics from the Quality Control Bureau (KCB). A new Export Statistics System has been developed for this purpose, with which weekly data can be supplied digitally. Software company jem-id has realized an integration with Fresh Produce Centre, which makes it possible for users of GreenCommerce to easily and accurately manage and supply data via the software package.

Digital displays that show important (logistical) information on the work floor. In the first quarter of 2023, a research was initiated into the possibilities and applicability, after which the green light was given to develop the Insights App. This brand new App will manage the information centre for various logistics purposes. This includes dock and cell occupancy, reception times, production progress and much more.

Last week the go-ahead was given for the collaboration between Growers United's new packaging center - especially for Paprico's block peppers - and jem-id. GreenCommerce is being used for this packaging location; the software that controls the entire production process at the location. A number of specific solutions and setting up an integration platform are part of this project.

Digitization is seeping deeper and deeper into business processes, but not everyone in the fresh produce industry sits behind a desk. Especially in the production area, employees do not find working with a computer very convenient. Koppert Cress was therefore happy to participate in testing the GreenCommerce Production App. With this, production employees can now enter actions directly on a tablet or telephone.

Last year, Dylan started developing the Transport App at jem-id. We are currently finalizing the latest developments, after which the first version will soon be tested by a pilot group. In this update, Developer Dylan explains what users can expect from the Transport App and what developments still lie ahead.

We recently switched parties for the hosting of the Domain Name System (DNS) for a number of our fresh produce products. What does this mean for the product and for you as a user of the product? In conversation with Developer and Cloud & Architect specialist Karsten, we talk about the benefits for the product and for you as a user.

Greenco, known for its snack tomatoes, among other things, launched a new software package this summer. GreenCommerce provides an even better grip on incoming and outgoing goods flows. In collaboration with jem-id, a development has been made with which pallet weighing can also be optimally managed. The complex implementation has now been successfully completed.

Since the Ximenia release, the process of entering items in GreenCommerce has been set up more efficiently. Where previously this could take a lot of time because it had to be entered manually, this can now be done in one go through an import/export function. New developments make it not only easier but also faster to enter multiple items at once.

Recently, Looye Kwekers, in collaboration with jem-id, Nitea and other software partners, has completed a successful process for the renewal of the IT landscape. The starting point is that it is important to make 'flexibility' an important part of the new landscape to be realised.

From the next quarterly release we will move to a new way of updating GreenCommerce. The current way of updating, in which a version has to be manually installed 4 times a year, will thus be given a new shape. By using this new way of updating, we are taking a major step in the further continuity of the product.

The Datawarehouse package has been one of the most popular extensions of GreenCommerce for years. Through extensive dashboards and reports, fresh produce companies can make decisions based on data. Since the release of the Watermelon version, a new component has been added that provides insight into different facets of the sales result.

With the FreshBabel connection between Gilad Produce and Coöperatie Hoogstraten, digital messages about the product, loading and tracing can be exchanged without having to type data or make a call.

Complex implementations are not new for team AGF. This year a number of new companies have gone live with the GreenCommerce software and the next are coming up. Soon it will be Greenco's turn; an international grower and packer of snack vegetables, known by the Tommies. Before they can go live, it was necessary to make a number of developments regarding the registration and recording of pallet weights.

JEM-id has successfully completed four impactful implementations in the first quarter of 2022 at Marni Fruit, BIO-Center ZANN, African Growers Cooperation U.A. and Harva International. The GreenCommerce implementations were started after extensive inventories and intensive preliminary processes. After that, the implementations were divided into phases and supplemented with training courses so that the biggest challenges were tackled before the live runs.

A new link between GreenCommerce and Work IT Packaging has been realized for Looye Kwekers. The tomato grower has been working with GreenCommerce for years to manage commercial business processes. Because Looye Kwekers  was going to use the new Work IT software, a new link to GreenCommerce was required to allow both systems to communicate with each other.

In 2022, a new technical update was planned for our linked grower platform GreenXchange. To be able to continue developing, an update in the front-end of GreenXchange was required.

After an intensive period in which 'mutual communication' and 'cooperation' are the key words that characterize the project, the project successfully went live in the second week of January. With the project, JEM-id has set up a structure that makes it possible for the customer in the future to easily link with customers and suppliers.

The Tomato release will soon be available to all GreenCommerce users. The Tomato version will be the last version of 2021 and is therefore a mandatory release. An important improvement that every user will notice is the new detail panel in the purchase order overview. The new detail panel provides additional insight into the batch details of the product to be purchased.

JEM-id introduces a new lite concept of GreenCommerce, called GreenCommerce Essentials. GreenCommerce Essentials contains a selection of software package GreenCommerce and thus offers users the same quality and reliability for the most used functionalities.

In addition to the Sales App, we have now started developing the Purchase App, making purchasing functionalities also available within GreenCommerce Apps. With the arrival of the Purchase App, the commercial process for fresh produce companies is covered in GreenCommerce Apps.

From the Quince release it is possible in every overview screen to enable selection totals via the column selector. In addition to the column totals, you can now easily see from a selection of lines what the selection total is and what the column total is. Very useful for adding numbers or prices, for example.

Over the past years, we have been busy with preparations to turn GreenCommerce into an online application. The time has come for the next step for GreenCommerce, by means of GreenCommerce Apps. Recently, the pilot started for the Sales App and the first test results predict a positive course for the rest of the process.
