The topics for 2024 are finalized: Roadmap update
The New Year automatically brings change. We are kicking off the new year with a brand new roadmap for 2024. The roadmap contains future developments and inventories that will apply for the new year. This year, the roadmap has again been divided into four themes, taking into account the different target groups in the fresh produce industry.
The four themes have not remained unchanged compared to previous years. The observant viewer may have already noticed that the topic 'Supply Chain Management' has had to make way for a new topic: 'Digitalization'. A natural development, since 'Infrastructure & technology' has provided the technical basis for developments discussed in 'Digitalization'.
It is also striking that the topic 'Task-driven process' will once again take on a prominent role in the first half of 2024. We have previously seen this topic in the last quarter of 2023, where the foundation has been laid for new developments in 2024.
Featured topics | first quarter
To give you a sneak peek, the topics for the first quarter are briefly explained below:
Digitization
Insights App
New developments in the Insights App provide the final finishing touches, especially for screens for the loading process. An inventory will be made regarding outgoing transport in the first quarter of 2024.
Digitization
Paperless warehouse
Our aim to rid the fruit and vegetable warehouse of paper takes on greater significance with this part. In the first quarter, research is conducted into the most valuable issues to address. This includes opportunities for companies that work with the WMS App and for inspectors who assess goods for suitability for customers.
Service providers
Pallets demands & Customer portal
For the topic 'Service Providers', the first quarter is mainly devoted to preparatory work, such as creating designs and prototypes.
Infrastructure & tech
Task-driven process
While the topic of Task driven process already begun in 2023, it will also kick off in the first quarter of 2024. In a pilot, employees test whether they can be managed more specifically via work orders instead of pick lists. From the warehouse office they can then have employees pick up, collect and ship multi-user orders.
Infrastructure & tech
Transportal 2.0
A brand new link between clients and transporters that works together with real-time information, the 'Transportal 2.0'. The existing links to the Transportal will be converted to an exchange via FreshBabel. In the first quarter the focus is on functionally converting the technology to FreshBabel.
