The Transport App at Harva International ensures increased efficiency in the workplace
Harva International started using the GreenCommerce Transport App this year. With the Transport App, order pickers have access to pick lists for sales, allowing them to report progress. The Transport App is a valuable addition for fresh produce companies that operate based on batch registration. With this expansion, Harva International takes a significant step towards paperless operations and gains better insight into physical inventory flows.
Swift implementation through mutual involvement
As an importer and exporter of fresh vegetables and fruits, Harva International has been working with GreenCommerce since 2022 to digitize their processes. In the same year, they were invited to participate in a pilot of the Transport App, leading to significant developments to refine the app. Recently, Harva International completely transitioned from paper-based pick lists to a digital version via the Transport App. Due to the high involvement of both Harva International and jem-id, the implementation was smooth and successful.
All 20 order pickers in the warehouse immediately transitioned to the digital workflow via the Transport App. Fernon van Paassen, GreenCommerce Product Specialist, enthusiastically describes the implementation: "Thanks to excellent communication and close collaboration, the implementation of the Transport App at Harva International was very successful and rapid. Order pickers can see real-time physical inventory and any changes appear instantly on their screens."
Order pickers use the Transport App to indicate which products they pick, with automatic time stamps recorded alongside. This information syncs with GreenCommerce, giving sales teams visibility into the picking status. If an order picker modifies a line item that has already been partially picked, a warning is triggered in GreenCommerce. Fernon adds, "Commercial staff can now easily track the progress of order pickers at a glance, without the need for phone calls. The order pick list is always up-to-date, allowing better anticipation of shipment requirements."
Transport App
The Transport App is a valuable tool for fresh produce companies that previously relied on paper pick lists and batch registration. It provides a clear overview of ongoing logistics activities and features to efficiently manage this information. Changes are immediately visible to employees and clearly displayed on the screen.
