Leaders in digital innovation for the horticultural industry
'Leaders in digital innovation for teh horticultural industry', is the new claim of jem-id. As of November 1, 2022, the software company for the floriculture and fresh produce sector will continue with the new branding. The direct reason for the rebranding is the natural development that the organization has undergone in the field of strategy and brand identity. The company was founded 26 years ago with the aim of raising the Dutch horticultural sector to a higher level through technology. To date, this view has remained unchanged.

New branding matches identity
The new and sleek timeless design fits better with the current identity. “Many people know jem-id mainly from our corporate culture, which we are extremely proud of. We are often seen as a closegroup that does not shy away from an IT challenge. The emphasis is then mainly on the way we work and in doing so we really do not have the in-depth IT and sector knowledge within the company.” Martijn van Andel, co-owner of jem-id, explains. “Our engineers are among the Dutch top in the field of software and cloud platform development. The fact that there are also deep roots in the fresh sector ensures that we have a unique combination. We use this knowledge not only to improve processes at our customers, but also to allow the companies to communicate better with each other. The claim 'Leaders in digital innovation for the horticultural industry' is therefore more than justified.”
In addition to the new branding, the sound of jem-id will also take on a different shape in the near future. Martijn: “We will ensure that the market sees and hears more about the various expertise we have in-house.” The jem-id team consists not only of developers, but also implementation specialists, support staff, marketers and product owners. In short; all expertise needed to successfully put a (software) product on the market. “Because we've been working like this for 26 years, it has become so common to us that we don't flaunt it. We want to use our knowledge more and more in the coming years to inspire other people and help the industry further. In addition to the launch of the new branding, a lot of effort has been put into how we will share our experiences with the world.”
Explanation new identity
To reflect the connection within the logo, the hyphen is depicted in the striking, fresh green color. The hyphen provides the literal connection of the logo and is therefore given the leading role in the logo. The simplicity ensures clarity; which is high on the agenda at jem-id. The organization stands for clear language based on facts. A nice answer is of no use to anyone if honesty is lacking. The simple branding emphasizes this identity.
The video below was presented to all employees last summer to introduce the new branding (Dutch only).
Leaders in digital innovation for floriculture and fresh produce
26 years ago jem-id originated from the idea of transforming the horticultural sector. The vision to lift the sector to a higher level through technology is more acurate than ever. Partly due to the intensive collaboration with Royal FloraHolland in the development of Floriday, disruption is being caused in the floriculture industry. FreshBabel offers a platform on which various software systems are linked to GreenCommerce in the communication of company-specific messages. This not only promotes speed, but also ensures a minimum margin of error at fresh produce companies.
