Easy access to retailers and trading partners

The connection to retailers often takes place through the exchange of EDI messages, whereby intermediaries are called in to make the translation to the format of retailers. These processes to set up EDI connections do not always run smoothly and can also cost a lot of money; that shouldn't be the only possible way ...

FreshBabel Messenger as intermediary
Fortunately, there is another way! GreenCommerce uses FreshBabel to digitally connect with various trading parties, including retailers. To reach retailers, FreshBabel Messenger has made a connection to EDI provider Transus, making connections available directly to a large number of retailers. Via this link, various EDI messages such as orders, shipments (DESADV) and invoices can now be read automatically into the system.

In the diagram below, a scenario is outlined to clarify the process:

Step 1:
The retailer sends an order. This order will arrive at Transus.

Step 2:
Transus transfers all incoming orders to your system and sends them via EDI. As it often takes a while between the processing of a sales order and the moment the invoice is sent, the orders that arrive via EDI are often a few days further.

Step 3:
The EDI messages are translated via FreshBabel Messenger into a digital format, specificly tailored for your GreenCommerce.

Step 4:
You will automatically receive the order in your GreenCommerce. You do not have to retype this order as you usually had to.

Step 5:
The sales order is created and after invoicing, the invoice is sent back to FreshBabel Messenger. This ensures that the invoice is translated into a digital format, so that Transus can process the invoice.

Step 6:
Transus has read the incoming invoices and passes them on to the systems of retailers. Transus then sends these invoices via EDI.

Step 7:
The retailer automatically receives the invoice in his own system.

Connection with other trading partners
In addition to connections to retailers, FreshBabel Messenger also offers the possibility to connect to other trading partners to make mutual communication take place a lot more efficiently. For example, it is quite easy to connect to customers or suppliers who also work with GreenCommerce or other software packages.
