StC International is ready for the future thanks to the optimal use of GreenCommerce

Over the past 1.5 years, StC International has focused on future-proofing the organization, partly by adopting various expansions to their GreenCommerce software package. Thanks to improvements in the warehouse through the WMS App, QC App, and a transition to pallet registration, StC International has gained better control over daily operations and is ready for the future.

StC International: Source to Consumer
Immediately after its establishment, StC International began using GreenCommerce to digitalize their processes. As a trading organization in the fresh produce sector, StC International stands for quality and transparency. They supply vegetables and fruits year-round and export them worldwide. Besides their main location in Honselersdijk, they also have locations in Poland and France. Over the past 5 years, they have grown significantly in staff, cultivation sites, and product volume.

To manage this growth, they decided last year to elevate the organization to a higher level together with jem-id. Maurik Molenaar, Operational Manager at StC International, explains: "A few years ago, we moved to a different building and acquired our own hall. To accommodate the continuous growth, we explored the possibilities within GreenCommerce with jem-id. From cultivation to sales and production, all links have been included in this process."

Improvement Through Automation
Due to the transition from batch registration to pallet registration, various expansions have become available to them in GreenCommerce, such as the WMS App and the QC App. In the warehouse, order pickers and quality control staff work daily with tablets that are directly connected to the sales system. Maurik states, "We now have immediate insight into the quality status via the QC App, and the WMS App has provided more visibility into warehouse processes. We are no longer caught off guard as changes are immediately visible and we can respond quickly. This has significantly simplified the order picking process."

Improvements have also been made in the commercial process. Changes made during sales are immediately visible in the warehouse, reducing the need for communication during the process. Maurik continues, "We have also recently started exploring our possibilities with Power BI through the GreenCommerce Datawarehouse package. We are extracting increasingly valuable information from these dashboards. It's very interesting to be able to monitor processes and draw conclusions from them."

In addition to the on-site processes at StC International, an affiliated grower has started working with GreenXchange, the grower platform linked to GreenCommerce. "The application allows our grower to work independently, and the information entered into GreenXchange is visible to all involved," says Maurik.

Future outlook
StC International is determined to continue this growth. Thanks to the collaboration with jem-id, they have all the resources in place to further align their departments. "At jem-id, there are people who are willing to think along with us on every issue. The communication lines are short, which works very well. They understand our challenges, which are sometimes company-specific, and try to find solutions through the software. This allows StC International to make quick progress," concludes Maurik.
